	Aroma Buena Catering proudly celebrates Latino Heritage Month September 15 through October 15, 2009 "Embracing the Fierce Urgency of Now!"

 

 

 

Greetings:

National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month begins September 15 -- the anniversary of independence
for five Latin American countries:  Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
 
The month also includes the independence days of Mexico on September 16, Chile on September
18, and Belize on September 21, and continues with El Día de la Raza on October 12.  Additionally, October brings Filipino American History Month -- the Philippines sharing much Hispanic heritage.
 
As of July 1, 2008, an estimated 46.9 million people in the United States identify as Hispanic or
Latino -- 15 percent of the U.S. population.  Furthermore, Puerto Rico has approximately 4 million residents.

 

 

For 2009, the theme for National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month is:       

 

"Embracing the Fierce Urgency of Now!"    

 

Now is a wonderful time to start planning your own celebration honoring our nation's Hispanic/Latino heritage. Our enthusiastic staff would love to help you with great ideas and suggestions.
